How to Play and Scoring Method

Teams plan their own routes within a limited time and use the map provided by the organizer to find routes to visit different "check-in points".
Each time a team reaches a "check-in point", "arrival score" will be awarded.
During the competition, the mobile app will display different challenge tasks when the teams enter the designated area. After completing the tasks, they will receive extra score.
The end point is the headquarters of the Hong Kong Red Cross. The competition route is decided by the participants themselves, but the competition must be completed within a limited time.
The team with the highest total score in each group wins, the team with the same score will win the competition in a shorter time, and the team who completes overtime will be disqualified.

Tips

1.
As the competition is held in the urban area, please try to keep the road unobstructed and courteous to avoid affecting road users along the way and pay attention to your own safety.
2.
Please keep the place clean. The used water bottles, food packages and waste papers must be thrown into trash cans or recycling bins.
3.
Please bring your own water bottles to reduce plastic consumption.
4.
Participating teams should always pay attention to their physical conditions during the competition and must only do what they can afford. If you feel sick, please inform your teammates immediately and do not insist to continue the competition.
5.
If a team's smartphone malfunctions or fails to use during the competition, the responsibility will be borne by the team.
6.
Participating teams need to complete the competition in person, and cannot use any form of technical assistance and support with others to complete the race. Violators/teams may be disqualified.
7.
The participating teams must abide by the rules of the competition and follow the instructions of the staff.
8.
If you have any enquiry, please call us at +852 2802 0016 during office hours (Monday to Friday 9:30-13:00 and 14:00-18:00)or email to crd@redcross.org.hk.
9.
It is strictly forbidden for participating teams to disclose or discuss any matters related to the competition to participating teams that have not departed at any time.
10.
The organizer has the right to reserve, add, modify and interpret any rules and instructions; if there is any modification, the announcement by the organizer during the competition shall prevail.

Competition Strategy

1.
The participating teams can make good use of the maps and prompts provided by the organizer to freely decide their starting point and plan their own route.
2.
Participating teams need to wear event T-shirts during the competition to complete the tasks.
3.
Once the "Start Challenge" button in the mobile app has been pressed, the program cannot be paused.
4.
Participating teams can only visit each "check-in point" to collect points once.
5.
Some "check-in points" are located in malls or shops. It is recommended to visit these areas during daytime to maximize the chances of successful check-in.
6.
Participating teams can obtain additional points by performing "online challenge" and repeat the challenge to get the highest score.
7.
All "check-in points" will be displayed on the competition map, and each "check-in point" will have different reach points according to distance.
8.
The team with the highest total score in each group wins, the team with the same score will win the competition in a shorter time, and the team who completes overtime will be disqualified.
9.
All team members must compete together and arrive at each "check-in point" at the same time, otherwise their team's qualification to compete for awards will be disqualified.
10.
During the competition, participating teams must bring their own smartphones with the app from the organizer being downloaded and installed successfully and log into it. Once the system is logged in and the competition starts, no other devices can be logged in at the same time. If you need to switch to another smartphone during the competition, then you have to log out the original smartphone and then log into another smartphone.
11.
During the competition, it is necessary to upload photos and use the Global Positioning System (GPS). The photo file format must be JPEG, PNG and HEIC format only. Please ensure that the smartphone has this photo format and has the Global Positioning System (GPS) function.
12.
The app of this competition requires mobile data. Please reserve enough mobile data to meet the needs.
